2 RELATING TO THE FEDERAL CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION ACT; AMENDING SECTION
3 28-41-302, IDAHO CODE, TO REVISE DATES APPLICABLE TO THE FEDERAL CONSUMER
4 CREDIT PROTECTION ACT AND REGULATIONS ISSUED UNDER THE ACT.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. That Section 28-41-302, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
7 amended to read as follows:
8 28-41-302. FEDERAL CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION ACT -- DEFINED. In this act
9 "Federal Consumer Credit Protection Act" means the consumer credit protection
10 act, Public Law 90-321; 82 Stat. 146, as amended, to and including January 1,
11 20034, or a subsequent date if so defined by administrative rule, and includes
12 regulations issued pursuant to that act, as amended to and including January
13 1, 20034, or a subsequent date if so defined by administrative rule.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 13479
The purpose of this bill is to amend the section of the Idaho
Credit Code that defines the federal Consumer Credit Protection Act
as including amendments to that law up to January 1, 2003. The
Department would need only to update the definition to reference
2004 so as to include any amendments to the federal law made in the
last year.
