4 THAT THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICTS SHALL COOPERATE
5 WITH COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, MAYORS, CITY COUNCILS AND SCHOOL DISTRICT
6 BOARDS OF TRUSTEES AND TO MAKE TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS.
7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
8 SECTION 1. That Section 33-2115, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
9 amended to read as follows:
10 33-2115. COUNTIES, CITIES, AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND BOARDS TO COOPERATE.
11 WITH BOARD. (1) The county commissioners of the county in which any junior
12 community college is located, and the mayor and council of the city in or
13 adjacent to which a junior community college is located, and the board of
14 trustees of the school district in such city, whether operating under special
15 charter or general law, shall be and hereby are authorized and empowered to
16 cooperate with the board of trustees of the junior community college district,
17 and to permit the use, for junior community college purposes, of such build-
18 ings, grounds, athletic fields, gymnasiums, libraries, laboratories and other
19 equipment and facilities, as are not at the time required for other purposes
20 by such county, city or school district.
21 (2) The boards of trustees of community college districts shall cooperate
22 with the county commissioners, mayors, city councils and school district
23 boards of trustees identified in subsection (1) of this section.

1 AMENDMENT TO SECTION 1
2 On page 1 of the printed bill, delete lines 21 through 23 and insert:
3 "(2) The boards of trustees of community college districts shall be and
4 hereby are authorized and empowered to cooperate with the county commission-
5 ers, mayors, city councils and school district boards of trustees identified
6 in subsection (1) of this section and to permit the use, for such county, city
7 and school district purposes, of such buildings, grounds, athletic fields,
8 gymnasiums, libraries, laboratories and other equipment and facilities, as are
9 not at the time required for other purposes by the community college.".
10 CORRECTIONS TO TITLE
11 On page 1, in line 4, following "SHALL" insert: "BE AUTHORIZED AND EMPOW-
12 ERED TO"; and in line 6, following "TRUSTEES" insert: "AND TO PERMIT THE USE
13 OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES FOR COUNTY, CITY AND SCHOOL DIS-
14 TRICT PURPOSES".

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 13924
This legislation would amend Section 33-2115, Idaho Code, to
revise descriptive language, to make a grammatical change and to
provide that the Boards of Trustees of community colleges shall
cooperate with County Commissioners, Mayors, City Councils and
School District Boards of Trustees and to make technical
corrections.
