2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE STATE TREASURER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005
3 AND DIRECTING THE STATE TREASURER TO REPAY THE GENERAL FUND; AND APPROPRI-
4 ATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE STATE TREASURER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1 of House
7 Bill No. 789, as enacted by the Second Regular Session of the Fifty-seventh
8 Idaho Legislature, there is hereby appropriated to the State Treasurer $30,000
9 for operating expenditures from the General Fund for the period July 1, 2004,
10 through June 30, 2005. These moneys shall be used for expenses relating to the
11 purchase and promotion of commemorative silver medallions for sale to the pub-
12 lic as authorized in Section 67-1223, Idaho Code. The State Treasurer shall
13 repay the General Fund moneys appropriated in this section from revenues gen-
14 erated from the sale of coins as provided in Section 67-1223(2), Idaho Code.
15 Such repayment shall occur on or before June 30, 2005.
16 SECTION 2. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1 of House
17 Bill No. 789, as enacted by the Second Regular Session of the Fifty-seventh
18 Idaho Legislature, there is hereby appropriated to the State Treasurer $10,000
19 for operating expenditures from the Miscellaneous Revenue Fund for the period
20 July 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 14291C1
Idaho Code 67-1223 authorizes the issuance of a series of Idaho
commemorative silver medallions. Section 1 of this bill would
provide thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) in one-time general
funds to the Treasurer's office for the production of medallions
and costs relating to the sale of the medallions to the public.
Section 2 directs the Treasurer to repay the general fund from
the revenues generated from the sale of medallions.
FISCAL IMPACT
The appropriation is thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) in
general funds and ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00)in dedicated
funds.
