SENATE BILL 1048

DISABLED PERSONS – Amends existing law relating to the protection of persons with disabilities to prohibit certain persons from being appointed as a guardian of a minor with an exception; to provide for petition contents; to require the guardian to take certain reasonable measures; to provide for additional petition contents; to provide for closed hearings; and to provide court discretion regarding the compromise of a disputed claim for money against a third person.
