                               BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE

 1                                        AN ACT

 4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

 5        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  1,  Chapter
 6    186,  Laws  of 1997, there is hereby appropriated to the State Board of Educa-
 7    tion for the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind the following  amount  to
 8    be  expended  for  the designated standard classification from the listed fund
 9    for the period July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998:

11    Capital Outlay                                                         $20,000
12    FROM:
13    Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind Income Fund                    $20,000

14        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
15    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
16    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                                         STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

                                                 H 503

This is a supplemental appropriation to the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind for the current
fiscal year.  The dedicated funds will provide for the replacement of an underground gasoline storage
tank at the campus in Gooding.  The underground storage tank will be removed by the Division of Public
 Works under a program in the capital budget.  The amount includes the cost of the new tank and
anticipated asphalt patching and paving.
