H0118|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 118 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION FOR THE IDAHO STATE 3 CAPITOL COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Administra- 6 tion for the Idaho State Capitol Commission, the following amount to be 7 expended for the designated program according to the designated standard clas- 8 sifications from the listed fund for the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 9 1999: 10 IDAHO STATE CAPITOL COMMISSION: 11 FOR: 12 Operating Expenditures $ 46,400 13 Capital Outlay 151,600 14 TOTAL $198,000 15 FROM: 16 Capitol Endowment Income Fund $198,000 17 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 18 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 19 passage and approval.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
HB118
This FY 1999 supplemental appropriation provides initial funding for the Idaho State Capitol
Commission, which was created by the 1998 Legislature in HB 690aa. The commission is
administratively located in the Department of Administration. The appropriation provides
$46,400 in operating expenditures for the normal operational costs of the commission. It also
includes $151,600 in capital outlay for the formulation of a master plan for the capitol
building and grounds, and several capital improvement projects around the capitol building.
All funding is from the Capitol Endowment Income Fund.
