S1240|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1240 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000; AND 3 LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS. 4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Finance the 6 following amount, to be expended according to the designated expense classes 7 from the listed fund for the period July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000: 8 FOR: 9 Personnel Costs $2,355,000 10 Operating Expenditures 647,300 11 Capital Outlay 50,000 12 TOTAL $3,052,300 13 FROM: 14 State Regulatory Fund $3,052,300 15 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Department 16 of Finance is authorized no more than forty-three (43) full-time equivalent 17 positions at any point during the period July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000, 18 for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifically autho- 19 rized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will be 20 notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

COMMENTS:
This is the fiscal year 2000 appropriation for the Department of Finance in the amount of
$3,052,300.
The department is funded entirely with dedicated funds generated by regulating the
financial industry in Idaho.
This appropriation also limits the department's number of full-time positions for FY
2000.
