  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF  AGRICULTURE  FOR  FISCAL
  3        YEAR  2000;  PROVIDING  TRANSFERS TO THE PEST CONTROL DEFICIENCY FUND; AND
  4        DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  1,  Chapter
  7    192,  Laws of 1999, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Agricul-
  8    ture the following amounts to be expended for the designated programs  accord-
  9    ing  to  the  designated  expense classes from the listed funds for the period
 10    July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000:

 21        SECTION 2.  The State Controller shall make cash transfers from  the  Gen-
 22    eral  Fund to the Pest Control Deficiency Fund, at the request of the Director
 23    of the Department of Agriculture, not to exceed $167,200  as  appropriated  in
 24    Section 1 of this act.
                                                                        
 25        SECTION  3.  An  emergency  existing  therefor,  which emergency is hereby
 26    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 27    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose

This is a fiscal year 2000 supplemental appropriation for the Idaho Department of Agriculture. It provides funding in the amount of $167,200 for pest monitoring and eradication and $15,000 to support the operations of the Idaho Sheep Commission.
