STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 10125
This legislation amends existing law to require that all managed care
organizations must belong to a guarantee association by December 31, 2002. The
National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is currently developing
model legislation to address this issue, which the NACI expects to release
sometime in 2000. This legislation delays Idaho's implementation date by two
years to allow time for the NAIC to develop its model legislation.
