20 aircraft, the anticipated use of this system by industry for moving high value
21 goods and merchandise in a minimum of time, to save handling and warehousing,

23 intrastate and interstate service for passengers and freight into the national
24 system, with implementation as rapidly as possible. The efforts of both the
25 public and private sectors must be combined to match the aviation program

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                     RS09914-C2

This legislation expands the Aeronautics Advisory Board from three members to
six members plus a Chairman at large. This configuration would be similar to the
Transportation Board with a representative from each district. The economic
impact of Aeronautics in Idaho is estimated to be over $1.3 billion

                     FISCAL NOTE

There would be no quantifiable direct fiscal impact to the General Fund, however,
with quarterly meetings there would be an additional $8-10,000 total impact to the
     State Aeronautics Fund.
