  2    APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION FOR FISCAL  YEAR  2001;  AND
  3        LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  There is hereby appropriated to the Industrial Commission the
  6    following amounts, to be expended for the designated programs according to the
  7    designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1,  2000,
  8    through June 30, 2001:

 39        SECTION 2.  In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Industrial
 40    Commission is authorized no more than one hundred thirty-eight (138) full-time
 41    equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2000, through June
 42    30, 2001, for the programs specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifi-

  1    cally  authorized  by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee
  2    will be notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This is the fiscal year 2001 appropriation for the Industrial Commission in the amount of $12,069,100.

The Industrial Commission consists of four programs: Compensation, Rehabilitation, Crime Victims Compensation, and Adjudication. It receives no General Fund money.

There are two new FTP added – an Appeals Transcriptionist and a Crime Victims Recovery Officer. There is also $30,000 in additional operating expenditures added to the Crime Victims Compensation Program for file conversion to CD-ROM and technology consulting services.

This appropriation also limits the Commission’s number of full-time positions for FY 2001.
