  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DIVISION OF BUILDING SAFETY FOR  FISCAL
  3        YEAR 2001; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  In  addition  to the appropriation made in Section 2, Chapter
  6    447, Laws of 2000, there is hereby appropriated to the  Division  of  Building
  7    Safety  in  the Department of Self-Governing Agencies the following amounts to
  8    be expended for the designated program according  to  the  designated  expense
  9    classes  from  the  listed funds for the period July 1, 2000, through June 30,
 10    2001:

 29        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
 30    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 31    passage and approval.

 This is a fiscal year 2001 supplemental appropriation for the Division of Building
 Safety totaling $499,300 in dedicated and federal fund spending authority.
 
 The Division of Building Safety s lease is expiring on May 30, 2001. The lease is
 not being renewed, as the lessor needs the space currently occupied by the
 Division. As such, the
 Division must relocate. This supplemental would fund increased lease costs,
 relocation expenses, and new office furniture.

 This supplemental appropriation would provide spending authority in the amount
 of $499,300 as follows:
 
 Dedicated Funds
 $64,800 ongoing operating expenses
 p33,000 one-time operating expenses
 $394,000 one-time capital outlay
         TOTAL:   $491,800
 
 Federal Funds
 $1,000 ongoing operating expenses
 $500 one-time operating expenses
