RS 12019
This legislation is for those eligible for coverage under the
State's health insurance program. It would extend coverage beyond
the 36-month cobra on the same terms and with the same conditions
for the spouse and adult dependent children of a state retiree
should the retiree precede them in death. It would require that
spouse and/or dependent bear the full cost of that coverage.
FISCAL IMPACT
At tHe time this legislation would go into effect, the spouse or
adult dependent would be bearing the full cost of the health
insurance so that there would be no cost to the general fund.
