  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE SUPREME COURT FOR DISTRICT COURT JUDGES
  3        AND COURT REPORTERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION 1.  In addition to any other appropriation provided by law,  there
  6    is hereby appropriated $380,600 from the General Fund to the Supreme Court for
  7    district court judges and court reporters for the period July 1, 2006, through
  8    June 30, 2007.

Appropriates additional moneys to the Supreme Court for added district court judges and court reporters for fiscal year 2007.

Fiscal Note

Senate Bill 1407 increased the number of district judges. One in the First Judicial District with resident chambers in Kootenai County; the other in the Third Judicial District with resident chambers in Canyon County. The cost for these two district judges, along with two court reporters, is included in this trailer appropriation bill. The bill provides a lump sum appropriation to the Supreme Court in the amount of $380,600 from the General Fund to cover this added cost.
