BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE FOR
3 SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED IN THE IDAHO STATE SCHOOL AND
4 HOSPITAL PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 3, Chapter
7 348, Laws of 2006, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health
8 and Welfare for services for the developmentally disabled in the Idaho State
9 School and Hospital Program the following amount, to be expended according to
10 the designated expense class from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2006,
11 through June 30, 2007:

13 Operating Expenditures $400,000
14 FROM:
15 Cooperative Welfare Fund (Dedicated) $400,000
16 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
17 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
18 passage and approval.

This is a fiscal year 2007 supplemental appropriation to the Department of Health and Welfare for services for the developmentally disabled at the Idaho State School and Hospital. This supplemental provides $400,000 of additional dedicated spending authority for the hospital to use the receipts generated from Medicare Part D prescription drug purchases to continue to purchase prescription drugs for clients.
