6 WHEREAS, in 2006, the members of the Second Regular Session of the

8 which requested that the Legislative Council Interim Committee on Energy,
9 Environment and Technology develop an integrated state energy plan that, among
10 other things, provides for the state's power generation needs and protects
11 Idaho's public health, safety and natural environment and conserves Idaho's
 12 natural resources; and

19 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Legislature to ratify this plan, while at
20 the same time making it a living, breathing plan with the intent that it be
21 revisited at a minimum of once every five years.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the First Regular Session
23 of the Fifty-ninth Idaho Legislature, the House of Representatives and the

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                      STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

                            RS 16967

The purpose of this concurrent resolution is to adopt the integrated
Idaho Energy Plan developed by the Legislative Council s interim
Committee on Energy, Environment and Technology as directed by House
Concurrent Resolution No.62

                         FISCAL IMPACT

There should be no fiscal impact because money has already been
appropriated and expended for the production of the energy plan.
