]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 411 BY AGRICULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO TUBERCULOSIS; AMENDING SECTION 25-402, IDAHO CODE, TO REVISE PRO- 3 VISIONS RELATING TO COMPENSATION FOR DESTROYED CATTLE OR OTHER ANIMALS. 4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 SECTION 1. That Section 25-402, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 6 amended to read as follows: 7 25-402. COMPENSATION FOR DESTROYED CATTLE OR OTHER ANIMALS. When cattle, 8 other bovidae, captive cervidae, captive antilocapridae, or camelidae are 9 destroyed on account of tuberculosis as herein provided, compensation may be 10 paid to the owner of such animals as provided by law; and, provided further, 11 that in no case shall the state pay more thantwenty-five dollars ($25.00) for12a grade animal nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for a registered purebred13animal and in no case shall the indemnity paid the owner by the state exceed14one-third (1/3)the difference between the appraised valueand salvage value15 of the animalsdestroyedless any federal indemnity and salvage value.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 15410 To make the indemnity provision for Tuberculosis consistent with those for Brucellosis. FISCAL IMPACT There will be no fiscal impact.
