STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 15377 Amend sections 54-1506 and 54-1508, Idaho Code, to delete the state board of optometry fund. Repeal section 54-1507, Idaho Code, and incorporate the license fee into 54-1506. The change would allow funds to be paid directly into the account for the Bureau of Occupational Licenses as requested by the Idaho State Treasurers office as are the other boards administered under the Bureau. These amendments would provide that all fees received by the Board would be deposited into one account. This is not an increase in fees or the cap. FISCAL NOTE There is no fiscal impact on general funds. There would be a benefit to dedicated funds by eliminating fees for transferring amounts from the special account to the bureau account. The benefit to the boards dedicated fund would be approximately $2000.00 per year.
