]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 640 BY RESOURCES AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO FISH AND GAME; AMENDING SECTION 36-112, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE 3 CORRECT TERMINOLOGY, TO PROVIDE A CORRECT CODE REFERENCE, AND TO REVISE 4 PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE TRANSFER OF MONEYS INTO THE ANIMAL DAMAGE CON- 5 TROL FUND. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Section 36-112, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 8 amended to read as follows: 9 36-112. ANIMAL DAMAGE CONTROLACCOUNTFUND.(1)The animal damage control 10accountfund is hereby established in the state treasury. Moneys in the 11accountfund are subject to appropriation to the state animal damage control 12 board established by section 25-1282612A, Idaho Code, for the control of pred- 13 atory animals and birds. In addition to moneys transferred into the fund pur- 14 suant to section 36-115(c), Idaho Code, tThe state controller shall annually, 15 by August 1 of each year, transfer the sum offiftyone hundred thousand dol- 16 lars ($5100,000) from the fish and gameaccountfund to the animal damage con- 17 trolaccountfund. The state animal damage control board in using these moneys 18 shall follow fish and game commission direction on actions regarding predatory 19 animals or birds forwarded by the department by the same date. 20(2) Beginning July 1, 1997 and each year thereafter, the state controller21shall transfer an additional fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) from the fish22and game account to the animal damage control account by August 1. The addi-23tional moneys transferred shall be used for three (3) years beginning July 1,241997 to fund animal damage control efforts, in conjunction with research proj-25ects, to best accomplish the protection of upland game and big game animals26from predation. The animal damage control board shall follow fish and game27commission direction regarding expenditures of these moneys. Upon the comple-28tion of the three (3) year period, the additional moneys transferred annually29shall be added to the animal damage control account for use and appropriation30as provided in subsection (1) of this section.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 15576 The proposed legislation amends Idaho Code, Section 36-1112, to correct terminology and revise provisions relating to the transfer of moneys into the Animal Damage Control Fund.
