1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE IDAHO WOMEN'S COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007;
3 EXPRESSING LEGISLATIVE INTENT WITH RESPECT TO CERTAIN EXPENDITURES; AND
4 LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for
7 the Idaho Women's Commission the following amounts to be expended according to
8 the designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1,
9 2006, through June 30, 2007:

19 SECTION 2. It is the intent of the Legislature that the executive direc-
20 tor and the commission members appointed to the Idaho Women's Commission use
21 the funding in the trustee and benefits category as follows: in even budget
22 fiscal years, the Idaho Women's Commission shall use a portion of the funding
23 to cover any additional costs not covered in operating expenses for the pur-
24 pose of publishing the biannual legal guide; and the remaining funding in even
25 years and the funding in odd years shall be used for sponsoring or assisting
26 with seminars benefitting women and families, or other programming that can be
27 shown to benefit women.
28 It is also legislative intent that the funding in the trustee and benefits
29 category is capped at $20,000 for state funds and shall not increase in future
30 years.
31 SECTION 3. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Idaho
32 Women's Commission is authorized no more than sixteen hundredths (0.16) full-
33 time equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2006, through
34 June 30, 2007, for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless spe-
35 cifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Commit-
36 tee will be notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.
