STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS08820 This legislation will allow, at tax option of the applicant, vehicle registration for a period of 2 years. Administrative fees collected shall be the same as for an annual registration. Emergency medical services fee shall be $2.50 for two years. FISCAL NOTE No impact on general fund. Minimum impact on registration revenues since fee remains the same. Positive advantage because revenue for second year received earlier than under current code. Additional minor administrative savings because of reduced paper work. With an optional two year registration program, the registrant would save postage and administration fees on the second year. Administration fees vary from county to county and range from a low of $1.00 to a high of $4.00 per registration. CONTACT: Senator Evan Frasure Phone: 332-1315 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE/ FISCAL NOTE S1162
