This bill provides $725,400 to pay for costs associated with the Bayview rockslide disaster. On January 30, 2000, a large rockslide blocked the only road access to the Bayview area, cutting off 300 people and 178 homes. Since this time, access has been provided by ferry boat. This appropriation will pay for clearing away the rockslide and stabilizing the slope above the road, making road and infrastructure repairs, and providing temporary ferry boat services.
