BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR THE OFFICE OF SPECIES
3 CONSERVATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002; AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME
4 EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for
7 the Office of Species Conservation the following amounts, to be expended
8 according to the designated expense classes from the listed funds for the
9 period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002:

19 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Office of
20 Species Conservation is authorized no more than five (5) full-time equivalent
21 positions at any point during the period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002,
22 for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifically autho-
23 rized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will be
24 notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This bill is the FY 2002 appropriation for the Office of Species Conservation, and reflects a 4.0% increase in General Funds. Also included in this budget is spending authority for federal US Fish & Wildlife monies which likely will become available in FY 2002 for coldwater fisheries and wolf depredation.
