|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-sixth Legislature First Regular Session - 2001IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 15 BY JUDICIARY, RULES AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 2 PROVIDING FOR PRINTING THE HOUSE AND SENATE LEGISLATIVE PERMANENT JOURNALS AND 3 FIXING THE PRICE FOR PRINTING THE SAME. 4 Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 WHEREAS, Section 67-509, Idaho Code, has made provisions for the printing 6 of the House and Senate Legislative Permanent Journals; 7 NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with a written contract duly made and 8 entered into by the House Judiciary, Rules, and Administration Committee and 9 the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee; 10 BE IT RESOLVED, by the members of the First Regular Session of the 11 Fifty-sixth Idaho Legislature, that the contract for the printing of the House 12 and Senate Legislative Permanent Journals in accordance with the provisions of 13 law and in accordance with the written contract between the House Judiciary, 14 Rules, and Administration Committee and the Senate Judiciary and Rules Commit- 15 tee, as party of the first part, and Custom Printing, of Nampa, Idaho, as 16 party of the second part, be, and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, 17 and is incorporated herein and made a part of this resolution, in words and 18 figures following, to wit: 19 PRINTING AGREEMENT 20 THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 22nd day of January, 2001, by 21 and between the HOUSE JUDICIARY, RULES, AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE and the 22 SENATE JUDICIARY AND RULES COMMITTEE of the First Regular Session of the 23 Fifty-sixth Idaho Legislature, hereinafter mentioned as party of the first 24 part, and CUSTOM PRINTING, Nampa, Idaho, hereinafter mentioned as party of the 25 second part; 26 WITNESSETH: 27 That pursuant to a resolution of said party of the first part and written 28 quotation submitted by party of the second part, a contract for legislative 29 printing is hereby awarded to the said Custom Printing, as follows: 30 PERMANENT JOURNAL 31 FIRST AND SECOND REGULAR SESSIONS 32 AND ANY EXTRAORDINARY SESSIONS 33 180 copies of House Permanent Journal, including 6 hard-bound 34 gold lettered volumes 35 180 copies of Senate Permanent Journal, including 6 hard-bound 36 gold lettered volumes 37 360 total copies ......................................... $42.00 per page 38 Additional hard-bound 39 gold lettered volumes .................................. $50.00 per volume 2 1 IT IS AGREED by the parties hereto that all of said printing shall be done 2 in the form and manner and upon such suitable material as was included in the 3 bid specifications and is now required by the statutes of the State of Idaho; 4 where not otherwise herein provided, such statutes shall be controlling, and 5 particularly as to the printing of Legislative Journals, the same shall be 6 printed in conformity with Section 67-509, Idaho Code, which section is hereby 7 referred to and by reference made a part of this contract as though set forth 8 herein at length; that the number of copies to be supplied under this contract 9 may from time to time be determined by the party of the first part; and that 10 all other terms of the specifications for the Journals of the party of the 11 first part shall be complied with as though set forth herein at length. 12 IT IS FURTHER AGREED, that the permanent printed Journal shall be deliv- 13 ered to the Chief Clerk of the House not later than thirty (30) working days 14 from date of receipt of final House copy, and to the Secretary of the Senate 15 not later than thirty (30) working days from date of receipt of final Senate 16 copy, and that for each day's failure to so deliver, there shall be deducted 17 from the contract price for printing said Journal the sum of Fifty Dollars 18 ($50.00) per day for each day's delay. 19 The party of the second part further covenants and agrees to deliver to 20 the party of the first part good and sufficient surety bond or other collat- 21 eral, if and when requested, in the manner and form, and with a surety accept- 22 able to the party of the first part, in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars 23 ($5,000), guaranteeing the satisfactory and faithful performance by the party 24 of the second part of all the conditions and covenants of this contract. 25 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the party of the second part has caused these presents 26 to be executed by its proper official and the party of the first part, by Con- 27 current Resolution, has caused these presents to be executed by its proper 28 officials. 29 Party of the First Part 30 By /s/ Bruce Newcomb 31 BRUCE NEWCOMB, Speaker of the House 32 HOUSE JUDICIARY, RULES, AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE 33 By /s/ Celia R.
