 1                                        AN ACT
 2    RELATING TO ABSENTEE VOTING; AMENDING SECTION 34-1006, IDAHO CODE,  TO  ENABLE
 3        COUNTY  CLERKS  TO  ESTABLISH  MORE THAN ONE ABSENTEE POLLING PLACE IN THE
 4        COUNTY.

 5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

 6        SECTION 1.  That Section 34-1006, Idaho Code, be, and the same  is  hereby
 7    amended to read as follows:

 8        34-1006.  COUNTY  CLERKS  SHALL  PROVIDE  AN   ONE OR MORE
 9     "ABSENT ELECTORS' VOTING PLACE." Each county clerk shall provide  
10    an      one (1) or more  "absent electors' polling place
11    (s)  . "  It    as  determined  necessary  by
12    each  county.  Each  polling place  shall be provided with voting booths
13    and other necessary supplies as provided by law. Electioneering is  prohibited
14    at  an  "absent electors' polling place" as provided in section 18-2318, Idaho
15    Code.

                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

    The purpose of this legislation is establish more than one absentee polling site at each 
    county's discretion. Currently, the Code says that each county shall provide "an absent 
    electors' voting place."
    
                           FISCAL IMPACT
    There is no measurable fiscal impact to the state or its political subdivisions.
