applicants for registration under the Physical Therapy Act shall be at the

                                    HOUSE BILL NO. 452

                       Requested by: Idaho State Board of Medicine

 1                                        AN ACT
 2    RELATING TO THE IDAHO PHYSICAL THERAPY ACT; AMENDING  SECTION  54-2208,  IDAHO
 3        CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT EXAMINATIONS OF APPLICANTS FOR REGISTRATION SHALL BE
 4        AT TIMES AND PLACES DESIGNATED BY THE BOARD OF MEDICINE.

 5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

 6        SECTION  1.  That  Section 54-2208, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
 7    amended to read as follows:

 8        54-2208.  EXAMINATION -- DATES -- PLACE. The board shall conduct  examina-
 9    tions  of  applicants for registration  in the months of January and July
10    of each year on a date to be set by the board. Such examinations shall be held
11    in the city of Boise, Idaho,  at  a  time s    and
12    place  s    to be designated by the board.  Each applicant who
13    has qualified for examinations shall be notified by  the  board  of  the  day,
14    place, and time of examination at least ten (10) days before such day.

    The purpose of this legislation is to update the statute relating to when and where physical
    therapy examinations will be conducted.
    
    
    FISCAL IMPACT
    There will be no fiscal impact on license fees or the dedicated fund because the costs of
    examinations are paid by applicants.
