H0498|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fourth Legislature Second Regular Session - 1998IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 498 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION BOARD COMMISSIONERS; AMENDING SECTION 31-1418, 3 IDAHO CODE, TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT COMMISSIONERS MAY BE COMPEN- 4 SATED. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. That Section 31-1418, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 7 amended to read as follows: 8 31-1418. FIRE PROTECTION BOARD COMMISSIONERS -- COMPENSATION AND 9 EXPENSES. The fire protection board commissioners may receive a reasonable 10 compensation for their services as commissioners but not to exceed that pro- 11 vided by section 59-509(gi ), Idaho Code. The board 12 shall fix the compensation, if any, to be paid to the officers named in this 13 act, and of the agents, attorneys and other employees of the board to be paid 14 out of the treasury of the district.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS07632 This legislation allows commissioners on the Fire Protection Board to receive a reasonable compensation for their services, not to exceed $75 per day. This changes it from a maximum of $35 per day. Compensation for board commissioners and other employees of the board will be paid out of the treasury of the district. FISCAL NOTE None.
