H0613|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fourth Legislature Second Regular Session - 1998IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 613 BY RESOURCES AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL FOR CERTAIN AGREEMENTS; AMENDING CHAPTER 63, 3 TITLE 67, IDAHO CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 67-6303, IDAHO 4 CODE, TO REQUIRE LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL FOR CERTAIN CONSERVATION AGREEMENTS 5 AND OTHER AGREEMENTS ADDRESSING ENVIRONMENTAL OR WILDLIFE ISSUES THAT 6 WOULD BIND PARTIES THAT WERE NOT PARTIES TO THE AGREEMENT. 7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 8 SECTION 1. That Chapter 63, Title 67, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 9 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION , to be 10 known and designated as Section 67-6303, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 11 67-6303. LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR CONSERVATION AGREEMENTS. No 12 action may be taken by the federal government, an agency of the state of 13 Idaho, or county or local government or private party within the state of 14 Idaho, to enter into a conservation agreement, rangewide management plan, or 15 any other plan or agreement with a primary goal of addressing environmental or 16 wildlife issues that would bind other Idaho state agencies, local governmental 17 entities or private parties within Idaho that were not parties to the plan or 18 agreement, without first obtaining legislative approval of the plan or agree- 19 ment.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS07762 To require Legislative approval for certain conservation agreements and other agreements that affect the social and economic welfare of the citizens of Idaho.
