This fiscal year 1999 appropriation for the State Treasurer totals $1,542,900.
Reappropriation shows unspent fiscal year 1997 dollars that were carried over into fiscal
year 1998. Base Adjustments remove one-time fiscal year 1998 moneys from the fiscal
year 1999 budget. This appropriation includes standard personnel cost rollups, 2.6%
inflation, and 5% Change in Employee Compensation (CEC). There are three enhancements
funded in this budget. The first provides General Fund money to hire a new Electronic
Funds Transfer Specialist. A permanently vacant FTP slot will be used for this position,
so no FTP increase is necessary for this enhancement. The second enhancement provides
$67,300 in dedicated funds to hire a new Investment Assistant for the State Investment
Pool. The third enhancement provides $25,000 in one-time dedicated fund money for new
investment accounting software for the Local Government Investment Pool.
