STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS07751 The purposed legislation relates to the Fish and Game Commission and will provide for the adjustment of commissioners' terms. In 1999, four terms will expire. To better facilitate the continuity of operation of the Commission, the proposed legislation would provide for two terms to be appointed for three years and their successors would be appointed for four years. The other two terms would be appointed for four years. Therefore, only two commissioners terms would expire at one time. No commissioner shall serve more than two terms. FISCAL IMPACT There would be no fiscal impact to the general fund as the legislation is simply an adjustment of expiration of terms. Contact: Senator Laird Noh 332-1333 S1415
