STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS08340 Remove "of 1971" from Idaho Code 54-1001. This phrase is unnecessary and confusing. The statute is clear that, as the National Electrical Code is revised, it must be adopted by the Idaho State Electrical Board, by administrative rule, before it can be used as the standard for electrical installations in the state. Also, incorporate new language to clarify and encompass that electrical installations shall comply with the safety standards of the National Electrical Code as adopted by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc. and approved by the American National Standards Institute, and the National Electrical Safety Code as published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. and approved by the American National Standards Institute.
