H0103|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 103 BY REVENUE AND TAXATION COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO MONEYS IN THE LIQUOR FUND; AMENDING CHAPTER 4, TITLE 23, IDAHO 3 CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 23-404A, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE A 4 TEMPORARY APPORTIONMENT OF MONEYS FROM THE LIQUOR FUND TO THE ALCOHOLISM 5 TREATMENT ACCOUNT. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Chapter 4, Title 23, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 8 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION , to be 9 known and designated as Section 23-404A, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 10 23-404A. TEMPORARY APPORTIONMENTS. The apportionments made pursuant to 11 section 23-404, Idaho Code, for the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 12 1999, shall be the apportionments made annually for the period from July 1, 13 1999, through June 30, 2002, except that in addition to that amount trans- 14 ferred to the alcoholism treatment account pursuant to subsection (1)(b)(i) of 15 section 23-404, Idaho Code, the balance in the account after the apportion- 16 ments provided by law shall also be transferred to the alcoholism treatment 17 account.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS08636 This bill will limit the moneys appropriated from the liquor distribution formula based upon the growth of revenues during the period July l, 1998 through June 30, 1999. The amount appropriated will remain the same, except the alcoholism treatment account, for the period from July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2002. FISCAL NOTE The fiscal impact over the three year period will add approximately $1.3 million per year to the Alcohol Treatment Account. CONTACT: Rep.
