                                   SENATE BILL NO. 1071

                        BY COMMERCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

 1                                        AN ACT
 2    RELATING TO THE BUREAU OF OCCUPATIONAL  LICENSES;  AMENDING  SECTION  67-2602,
 3        IDAHO  CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT MEMBERS OF BOARDS CONTRACTING WITH THE BUREAU
 4        SHALL HOLD OFFICE UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIED.

 5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

 6        SECTION 1.  That Section 67-2602, Idaho Code, be, and the same  is  hereby
 7    amended to read as follows:

 8        67-2602.  BUREAU OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES.  (1)   The bureau of
 9    occupational  licenses created in the department of self-governing agencies by
10    section 67-2601, Idaho Code, shall be empowered, by written agreement  between
11    the  bureau and each agency for which it provides administrative or other ser-
12    vices as provided by law, to provide such services for the board of  architec-
13    tural  examiners, board of barber examiners, board of chiropractic physicians,
14    board of cosmetology, counselor licensing board, board of environmental health
15    specialist examiners, state board of denturitry, board of hearing aid  dealers
16    and  fitters,  board  of  landscape  architects, board of morticians, board of
17    examiners of nursing home administrators, board of optometry, board of  podia-
18    trists, board of psychologist examiners, real estate appraiser board, board of
19    examiners  of  residential  care facility administrators, board of social work
20    examiners and such other professional and  occupational  licensing  boards  or
21    commodity  commissions  as  may request such services. The bureau may charge a
22    reasonable fee for such services provided any agency  not  otherwise  provided
23    for  by  law  and shall maintain proper accounting methods for all funds under
24    its jurisdiction.
25         (2)  Notwithstanding the statutes governing specific boards, for any
26    board that contracts with the bureau of occupational licenses, each board mem-
27    ber shall hold office until a successor has been duly appointed and qualified.
