STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS08772 The purpose of this legislation is to allow County Assessors to appoint agents such as vehicle dealerships, to perform vehicle registration duties provided there is approval from the department. This change will open the opportunity for expansion of auto license services without the expense of new buildings and personnel, while maintaining county assessor offices as primary providers of auto license services in the State of Idaho. FISCAL NOTE No fiscal impact is anticipated with this legislation. Minor programming development would be completed by departmental programming staff. Equipment costs would be assumed by agents seeking to perform registration services. CONTACT: Evan Frasure 332-1316 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE/ FISCAL NOTE S1093
