STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 09136 C1 The purpose of this bill is to eliminate the sunset provision on the authority of the State Board of Education to accept credit from non-accredited proprietary institutions. The State Board has developed by rule a system of standards that a non-accredited institution would have to comply with before credits will be accepted. This bill will continue the Board's already existing authority in that area and continue standards set by the Board. FISCAL NOTE None.
