                                SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 101

                                BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

 1                                 A SENATE RESOLUTION
 2    ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE SENATE.

 3    Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Idaho:

 4        WHEREAS, Senate Rule 7(C) provides that the compensation of  employees  of
 5    the Senate shall be fixed by resolution of the Senate.
 6        NOW,  THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the Senate, assembled in
 7    the First Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legislature, that the  com-
 8    pensation  of  the  various  officers and employees of the Senate of the First
 9    Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legislature be fixed as follows:

10    1.  Secretary of the Senate .....................................$16.35 hourly
11    2.  Assistant Secretary of the Senate ...........................$13.46 hourly
12    3.  Assistant to Majority Leader, Sergeant  at  Arms,  Docket  Clerk,  Journal
13        Clerk, Secretary to the Secretary of the Senate .............$11.85 hourly
14    Provided,  however, that the person appointed to each of the positions in this
15    Paragraph 3. shall be paid the hourly rate of $11.85, increased  by  2.5%  for
16    each  full annual session of prior service to either house of the Idaho Legis-
17    lature to a maximum of four (4) years for such additional credit.
18    4.  Assistant to Assistant Majority Leadership and Caucus Chairman,  Assistant
19        to  Minority  Leadership,  Minority  Leadership Staff Assistant, Assistant
20        Sergeant at Arms,  Constituent  Services  Assistant,  Secretary  to  State
21        Affairs  Committee, Secretary to Finance Committee, Secretary to Judiciary
22        and Rules Committee, Secretary to Health and Welfare Committee,  Secretary
23        to  Education Committee, Secretary to Agricultural Affairs Committee, Sec-
24        retary to Commerce and Human Resources Committee, Secretary  to  Resources
25        and Environment Committee, Secretary to Local Government and Taxation Com-
26        mittee,  Secretary  to  Transportation  Committee, Pool Secretaries, Chief
27        Mail  Clerk,  Legislative  Information  Center  Director,  Lounge  Hostess
28        .............................................................$ 9.91 hourly
29    Provided, however, that the person appointed to each of the positions in  this
30    Paragraph  4.  shall  be  paid the hourly rate of $9.91, increased by 2.5% for
31    each full annual session of prior service to either house of the Idaho  Legis-
32    lature to a maximum of four (4) years for such additional credit.
33    5.  Mail Clerks, Senate Doorkeeper, Assistant Lounge Hostess, Telephone Opera-
34        tor, Tour Guide .............................................$ 8.84 hourly
35    Provided,  however, that the person appointed to each of the positions in this
36    Paragraph 5. shall be paid the hourly rate of $8.84,  increased  by  2.5%  for
37    each  full annual session of prior service to either house of the Idaho Legis-
38    lature to a maximum of four (4) years for such additional credit.
