H0472|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2000IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 472 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LANDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 3 2000; PROVIDING TRANSFERS TO THE FIRE SUPPRESSION DEFICIENCY FUND; PROVID- 4 ING TRANSFERS TO THE PEST CONTROL DEFICIENCY FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMER- 5 GENCY. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter 8 253, Laws of 1999, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Lands the 9 following amounts to be expended for the designated programs according to the 10 designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1, 1999, 11 through June 30, 2000: 12 FOR FOR FOR 13 PERSONNEL OPERATING LUMP 14 COSTS EXPENDITURES SUM TOTAL 15 I. The State Controller shall make cash transfers from the Gen- 25 eral Fund to the Fire Suppression Deficiency Fund, at the request of the 26 Director of the Department of Lands, not to exceed $1,765,000 as appropriated 27 in Section 1 of this act. 28 SECTION 3. The State Controller shall make cash transfers from the Gen- 29 eral Fund to the Pest Control Deficiency Fund, at the request of the Director 30 of the Department of Lands, not to exceed $17,500 as appropriated in Section 1 31 of this act. 32 SECTION 4. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 33 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 34 passage and approval.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS09755 This is a fiscal year 2000 supplemental appropriation to the Idaho Department of Lands. It provides funding in the amount of $2,681,000 for fire suppression and $17,500 for gypsy moth pest control for a total of $2,698,500. Fiscal Note The impact on the General Fund is $1,782,500 in one-time funding. Spending authority of $916,000 is provided for reimbursements received from other state, federal, and local entities.
