1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001;
3 AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Public Utilities Commis-
6 sion the following amount, to be expended according to the designated expense
7 classes from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2000, through June 30,
8 2001:
9 FOR:
10 Personnel Costs $2,859,300
11 Operating Expenditures 1,312,900
12 Capital Outlay 48,800
13 TOTAL $4,221,000
14 FROM:
15 Public Utilities Commission Fund $4,221,000
16 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Public
17 Utilities Commission is authorized no more than forty-nine (49) full-time
18 equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2000, through June
19 30, 2001, for the programs specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifi-
20 cally authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee
21 will be notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This is the fiscal year 2001 Appropriation for the Public Utilities Commission in the amount of $4,221,000. The source of funding is the Public Utilities Commission Fund which consists of fees collected from the regulated utilities and railroad corporations.
