The appropriation includes $9,261,000 from the General Fund for distribution to Idaho’s seven public health districts. In addition, $98,000 from the General Fund is also included for the Panhandle Health District to replace a loss of federal funds in an effort to protect the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. All increases in personnel costs are funded at 40% of need from the general fund. The remaining 60% will be covered from other funding sources.
