2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001;
3 AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

6 the following amounts, to be expended for the designated programs according to

52 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Department
53 of Agriculture is authorized no more than one hundred seventy-two and thirty-

1 one hundredths (172.31) full-time equivalent positions at any point during the
2 period July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001, for the programs specified in Sec-
3 tion 1 of this act, unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint
4 Finance-Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased
5 positions so authorized.

The swine and poultry regulation enhancement request # 5 was combined with a beef animal feeding operation decision unit. Funding is dependent on the passage of other legislation.
This budget includes the approval of enhancement #9 which moves the fertilizer functions to the Plant Industries program. The transfer includes 2.93 positions and $311,200.
