BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR THE HUMAN RIGHTS COM-
3 MISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002; AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVA-
4 LENT POSITIONS.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for
7 the Human Rights Commission the following amounts, to be expended according to
8 the designated expense classes from the listed funds, for the period July 1,
9 2001, through June 30, 2002:

20 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Human
21 Rights Commission is authorized no more than eleven (11) full-time equivalent
22 positions at any point during the period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002,
23 for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifically autho-
24 rized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will be
25 notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This appropriation funds two program enhancements. The first provides an additional Civil Rights Investigator position and associated funding. The second provides $3,600 for additional commissioner compensation. This will allow the Commission reimburse commissioners for two days work per month.
