|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-sixth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2002IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 453 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS FOR THE BOARD OF PHARMACY FOR FISCAL YEAR 3 2002; REDUCING THE APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF PHARMACY FOR FISCAL YEAR 4 2002; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter 7 225, Laws of 2001, there is hereby appropriated to Department of Self-Govern- 8 ing Agencies for the Board of Pharmacy the following amount to be expended for 9 the designated program according to the designated expense class from the 10 listed fund for the period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002: 11 BOARD OF PHARMACY: 12 FOR: 13 Personnel Costs $32,000 14 FROM: 15 State Regulatory Fund $32,000 16 SECTION 2. The appropriation to the Department of Self-Governing Agencies 17 for the Board of Pharmacy made in Section 1, Chapter 225, Laws of 2001, is 18 hereby reduced by the following amount from the designated expense class from 19 the listed fund for the period July 1, 2001, through July 1, 2002: 20 BOARD OF PHARMACY: 21 FOR: 22 Operating Expenditures $17,000 23 FROM: 24 State Regulatory Fund $17,000 25 SECTION 3. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 26 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 27 passage and approval.

This bill provides dedicated fund spending authority to address an ongoing shortfall in Personnel Costs at the Board of Pharmacy. The bill also provides for a transfer of funds from Operating Expenditures to Personnel Costs to partially offset the shortfall.

Fiscal Note |
There is no impact on the General Fund. This bill provides an additional $15,000 in spending authority of dedicated funds over and above the original FY 2002 appropriations bill–S1202– for the Board of Pharmacy. The bill also authorizes a transfer of $17,000 in Operating Expenses to Personnel Costs.
