|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-sixth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2002IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1429 BY EDUCATION COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOL NONCERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES; AMENDING CHAPTER 5, TITLE 3 33, IDAHO CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 33-520, IDAHO CODE, TO 4 PROVIDE FOR ANNUAL EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION FOR NONCERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. That Chapter 5, Title 33, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 7 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION, to be known and des- 8 ignated as Section 33-520, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 9 33-520. NONCERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES -- ANNUAL NOTICE. The board of trustees 10 of each school district, including any specially chartered district, shall 11 notify each noncertificated employee whether or not he or she will be reem- 12 ployed for the next ensuing year. Such notice shall be given, in writing, by 13 the board of trustees no later than the twenty-fifth day of May of each year. 14 If the board of trustees has decided not to reemploy the noncertificated 15 employee, then the notice must contain a statement of reasons for the deci- 16 sion.
