  2    APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION FOR  FISCAL
  3        YEAR 2003; AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  There  is hereby appropriated to the State Board of Education
  6    for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation  the  following  amounts  to  be
  7    expended for the designated programs according to the designated expense clas-
  8    ses from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2002, through June 30, 2003:

  3        SECTION  2.  In  accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Division
  4    of Vocational Rehabilitation is authorized no  more  than  one  hundred  fifty
  5    (150)  full-time  equivalent  positions at any point during the period July 1,
  6    2002, through June 30, 2003, for the programs specified in Section 1  of  this
  7    act,  unless  specifically  authorized  by  the  Governor.  The Joint Finance-
  8    Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased  positions
  9    so authorized.

Statement of Purpose

This is the appropriation bill for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for fiscal year 2003. It appropriates $541,400 for Renal Disease, $16,786,800 for Vocational Rehabilitation, $72,900 for Epilepsy Services, and $292,200 for the Independent Living Council for a grand total of $17,693,300. Full-time equivalent positions are capped at 150.
