BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE APPELLATE PUBLIC DEFENDER FOR
3 FISCAL YEAR 2003; AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FULL-TIME EQUIVA-
4 LENT POSITIONS.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the State Appel-
7 late Public Defender the following amounts, to be expended for the designated
8 program according to the designated expense classes from the listed fund for
9 the period July 1, 2002, through June 30, 2003:
10 FOR:
11 Personnel Costs $ 969,100
12 Operating Expenditures 290,500
13 Capital Outlay 2,300
14 TOTAL $1,261,900
15 FROM:
16 General Fund $1,261,900
17 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Office of
18 the State Appellate Public Defender is authorized no more than fifteen (15)
19 full-time equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2002,
20 through June 30, 2003, for the program specified in Section 1 of this act,
21 unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-
22 Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased positions
23 so authorized.
