allocated for one time technology expenditures in House Bill No. 683 of the
Second Regular Session of the Fifty-sixth Idaho Legislature (state support
for public schools), up to $150,000 may be used by the Idaho Council for

  1                                        AN ACT
  2    PROVIDING LEGISLATIVE INTENT REGARDING ONE-TIME TECHNOLOGY  EXPENDITURES  CON-
  3        TAINED  IN SECTION 6, HOUSE BILL NO. 683, AS ENACTED BY THE SECOND REGULAR
  4        SESSION OF THE FIFTY-SIXTH IDAHO LEGISLATURE.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  Of the moneys allocated for one-time  technology  expenditures
  7    by  Section 6, House Bill No. 683, as enacted by the Second Regular Session of
  8    the Fifty-sixth Idaho Legislature, up to $150,000 may be  used  by  the  Idaho
  9    Council  for  Technology  in  Learning to match technology grants from private
 10    sources.

This bill provides language that will allow the Idaho Council for Technology in Learning to utilize up to $150,000 of the $5,000,000 in one-time technology funds appropriated to public schools in FY 2003 as a match for private technology grants.

No fiscal impact. This bill provides direction regarding funds that have already been appropriated in the FY 2003 budget for Public School Support.
