SENATE BILL NO. 1293
BY FINANCE COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE MILITARY DIVISION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002;
3 DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS TO THE HAZARDOUS SUB-
4 STANCE EMERGENCY RESPONSE FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter
7 232, Laws of 2001, there is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor
8 for the Military Division the following amount to be expended for the desig-
9 nated program according to the designated expense class from the listed fund
10 for the period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002:
11 BUREAU OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS:
12 FOR:
13 Operating Expenditures $32,500
14 FROM:
15 Hazardous Substance Emergency Response Fund $32,500
16 SECTION 2. The State Controller shall make a cash transfer of $32,500
17 from the General Fund to the Hazardous Substance Emergency Response Fund for
18 the period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002.
19 SECTION 3. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
20 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
21 passage and approval.

This is a fiscal year 2002 supplemental appropriation for the Military Division in the Executive Office of the Governor. This bill provides funding for the Bureau of Hazardous Materials to cover deficiency warrants issued to pay for the cost of responding to hazardous material incidents throughout Idaho.
