  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO LICENSURE BY THE BOARD OF PSYCHOLOGIST EXAMINERS; AMENDING SECTION
  3        54-2309, IDAHO CODE, TO CLARIFY CONDITIONS FOR NONISSUANCE AND  REVOCATION
  4        OF LICENSES.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION  1.  That  Section 54-2309, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
  7    amended to read as follows:
                                                                        
  8        54-2309.  NONISSUANCE AND REVOCATION OF LICENSE. No license may be issued,
  9    and a license previously issued may be revoked or  suspended,  if  the  person
 10    applying, or the person licensed be:
 11        (a)  Found guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction of a felony;
 12        (b)  Found  by  the  board to be a repeated and excessive abuser of a con-
 13    trolled substance;
 14        (c)  Found by the board to be a repeated and excessive abuser of alcohol;
 15        (d)  Found by the board to be in violation of any provision  of  this  act
 16    chapter or any of the rules adopted pursuant to this chapter; or
 17        (e)  Found by the board to have been unethical as detailed by the current,
 18    and  future  amended, ethical standards of the American Psychological Associa-
 19    tion.

                     STATEMENT  OF  PURPOSE
                            RS 13452
Amend section 54-2309, Idaho Code, to add language making a
violation of the Boards rules grounds for a disciplinary action
against a licensee.







                         FISCAL  IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact on general or dedicated funds.
