1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO THE BOARD OF SOCIAL WORK EXAMINERS; AMENDING SECTION 54-3209,
3 IDAHO CODE, TO CLARIFY THAT THE APPLICATION FEE INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL
4 LICENSE FEE.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. That Section 54-3209, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
7 amended to read as follows:
8 54-3209. FEES -- LICENSING -- DURATION OF LICENSES. Each person submit-
9 ting an application for licensure to practice social work shall pay an appli-
10 cation fee, as determined by the rules of the board, which shall not exceed
11 seventy-five dollars ($75.00) and which shall include the original license
12 fee. Each person licensed to practice social work shall pay a license renewal
13 fee, not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00) as determined by the rules of
14 the board. All licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be
15 subject to annual renewal and shall expire unless renewed in the manner pre-
16 scribed by the board regarding applications for renewal, continuing education,
17 and fees. Renewal shall be in accordance with the requirements of section
18 67-2614, Idaho Code.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 13468C2
Amend section 54-3209, Idaho Code, to add language to clarify the
fee for licensure which covers both application and original
license. This is not a new fee.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no impact on general or dedicated funds.
