  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO MEDICAL RECORDS; AMENDING CHAPTER 43, TITLE 39, IDAHO CODE, BY THE
  3        ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 39-4308, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO  MEDI-
  4        CAL RECORDS ABOUT A PERSON BY THAT PERSON.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION  1.  That  Chapter  43,  Title 39, Idaho Code, be, and the same is
  7    hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION, to be known and  des-
  8    ignated as Section 39-4308, Idaho Code, and to read as follows:
                                                                        
  9        39-4308.  ACCESS  TO MEDICAL RECORDS ABOUT A PERSON BY THAT PERSON. A per-
 10    son may inspect and copy,  at  his  own  expense,  all  documents  created  or
 11    obtained by any medical care provider pertaining to that person.

their health care records.
